Brett's Boring Blog

Check in to see what books I'm reading, what music I'm listening to and the vintage baseball gloves and bats I'm finding at flea markets and antique shows.

First grad class of the semester this evening. This one is deals with Young Adult material for media centers. It seems like it will be a pretty good class. The class size is 20, which is smaller than the other classes I've had the past couple of semesters. Tomorrow I start my cataloging class - I guess that's a love it or hate it type of class. I like organizing things so I think that I'll be on the positive side. Saturday and Sunday's class is on copyright - that one does not really interest me but I may be surprised.

Kristin had fun taking the cats to the vet today. Itchy is healthy and good to go. Scratchy has an ear infection and mites so he has some meds to take. He also needs to gain some weight but he is always running around exercising! Rowdy has roundworm so he's on quarantine from the rest of the cats for the next week. I went into visit Maggie Mittens this evening and she ran under the bed, like usual. I layed down next to the bed and she cried for a little while, then started purring. Then she started walking around, getting closer to me and finally came close enough so I could pet her. She kept moving around, purring, letting me pet her, rolling around, etc.! That is really good - I was expecting that for another couple of weeks. Hopefully she'll continue to trust us and let us handle her.
