Sorry for my lack of posting lately - I'll try to do a better job keeping up this week.

Saw a couple of movies over the weekend. We got "Crash" from the library and watched it on Friday night. It had gotten a lot of good reviews and I thought it was really well done. It's kind of depressing but interesting and enlightening. The two lessons I got were 1) Don't assume you know what motivates someone or assume what they will do in a situation and 2) All people in LA are jerks. Last night we went to the movies to see "A History of Violence." This movie had gotten great reviews but I was disappointed. I can't put my figure on why I wasn't that impressed but it was as "suspensefull" or "thrilling" as some of the reviews made it out to be. To me, it was very predictable. The violence was very gory so if you have a weak stomach, don't say I didn't warn you. Finally, after we got home last night we watched the new Family Guy movie. It was very funny. Make sure to set the DVD to uncensored before you watch it!

Yesterday I went out to the Kane County Flea market and had a pretty good day. Picked up a couple of gloves, a neat old Worth ball in the original box (see picture) and 21 Japanese baseball jerseys. Yes, you read that right, 21 Japanese baseball jerseys. I will probably keep a couple of them (not to many of them fit) and try to recoup my investment but selling the others. If you are interested in one, drop me a note. :)

This week I don't have any classes - my professors are attending a conference in Pittsburgh so I don't have to make the trek to DeKalb at all. Yay! I am playing softball on Monday and Wednesday evenings - both doubleheaders. Maybe I'll wear one of my new Japanese jerseys.
