Brett's Boring Blog

Check in to see what books I'm reading, what music I'm listening to and the vintage baseball gloves and bats I'm finding at flea markets and antique shows.

you'll have to bear with my horrid typing here - my broken right hand sometimes pushes buttons it shouldn't and my speed is somewhat decreased. however, i bet i still type 10X faster than dad.

the last book i finished was Next Man Up by John Feinstein. i always like Feinstein's work - maybe because he'sa Dookie - this one is not my favorite though. it was interesting to look into an NFL team but i found the ravens kind of boring and egotistical. maybe if he had a different team with different personalities it would have been more enjoyable.

we watched Broken Flowers with bill Murray the other night. it was an interesting movie but the ending is kind of frustrating/illuminating at the same time. i'd recommend it if you like arty movies.

as for the olympics, why are there no US people in the biathalon? i would think that for a country that sells and uses more guns than anyone this event would be for us. i guess the skiing part turns them off. perhaps if it wasn't heart attack inducing, dick cheney could take it up - i heard he's a pretty good shot. just make sure he knows to shoot the targets and not the other competitors or fans.

I keep looking at your blog trying to find out what I missed being gone for three days, but there is nothing!!!! Kelly made it all sound horrific, but if you would rather make fun of Cheney then all is well. Hope your hand get better Brett.
