Another day, another record for J.J. Redick. Congrats on being the All-Time leading scorer in ACC basketball history. Temple did a great job of shadowing and keeping 2 players on him at most times. I was very happy to see the other Duke players picking up the slack and play well. The other teams around the country must be a little nervous after watching Duke win two physical games on the road with Redick not playing great.

I didn't post after the game on Wednesday because I would have written some nasty things abot the announcers. Well, ESPN, please listen. Please get a whole new cast of announcers ASAP. Although Dick Vitale is hugely popular he needs to be in the studio where he can talk at halftime and before games. During the games he does, he rarely talks about the action on floor and fails to pay attention. The most asinine thing he said during the G-Tech game, as Duke was on a 24 to 6 run after Coach K's technical foul was "Duke really hasn't gone on a run." WTF!!! Mike Patrick is equally atrocious. He doesn't pay attention and can't tell any of the players apart. He also makes tons of stupid comments on calls and then when the show a replay that totally prove him wrong, he either fails to comment or doesn't apologize. Plus, his jokes are totally lame - "Christmas came early" - give me a break. And today Len Elmore joined the ranks of sucky ESPN announcers. Yeah, I get the fact you dislike Duke. But come on, all you did was feed those annonying fans who say Duke gets all of the calls. You make a point that the conspiracy is dumb but then proceed to point out that this foul and that foul could help their case. Yes, Redick pushed off but only after the guy had wrapped him up and tried to hold him down. The Fox Sports announcers are very good - ESPN should recruit them.

Finished another John Feinstein book the other night - The Last Dance. It centers around the Final Four and looks in depth into the coaches, players, referees and committee members role during this weekend. I found the book interesting and informative. Definitely a must read for any college hoops fan.

We watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith last night - it was very predictable and to far fetched for my tastes. I watched The Aristocrats this afternoon - this movie would most likely offend 99.9% of the population. Good thing I fall into the .1% - it is very crude, sometimes disgusting but most of the time funny - especially the guy with the deck of cards and Kevin Pollack doing the Christopher Walken impression.
